Bob's
the guy that pulls over and helps you with your flat tire on the
highway. The guy that listens to your problems and offers advice
if you want it. Bob is a great father to his baby girl
(see above) and a great member of our family.
Recently,
Bob's received a few challenges.
In December
of 2004 he was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. Then in August
2005 Bob was diagnosed with AML Leukemia.
With more praying than seemingly possible Bob made it through
multiple rounds of Chemotherapy and a self stem-cell transplant.
Truly it was amazing because you'd barely even know that he had
chemotherapy or a transplant. He took it very well.
For the past
couple of months Bob as been home in Reading, MA recovering. His
energy was just getting to a point where he could do some light
duty hobbies and then on April 23, 2005 The Leukemia returned.
With a vengeance.
As of today
(4/29/06) Bob is coming out of the worst 5 days of his (or
anyone's) life. I can't get into specifics, but it's been
astonishingly hard on him. The return of the Leukemia had
devastating results. The staff at the hospital has brought him
through it all and he's almost back to full coherency. Yes, it
is that harsh!
Now Bob need
you to help save his life. On Saturday May,13 2006 you can help
Save Bob and Friends by attending the Save Bob and Friends Bone
Marrow Drive. It's a very fast and easy test. You simply fill
out a form, have your cheeks swabbed with Q-Tips, grab yourself
some refreshments and go home or out for the evening.
If you are a
potential donor, you'll be contacted and you may just Save Bob
or one of 30,000 other American's that are annually in need of a
donor such as yourself.
Please attend
and please bring people with you. The more people the better and I
guarantee you that you, your friends, family's and coworkers
will be appreciated and forever prayed for.
